Frequently Asked Questions
Is EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 Expandable?
Yes. One of the primary benefits of the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is its modular expandability. Each unit’s storage capacity can be expanded with EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 Smart Extra Batteries, from 4kWh to 8kWh with 1 x Extra Battery or 12kWh maximum with 2 x Extra Batteries. Additionally, you can expand AC output, storage capacity, and solar charge input by connecting up to 3 x EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 together in parallel.
2 x EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3s provide 8kW of AC output, up 24kWh of storage (with 4 x Extra Batteries) and 5200W Dual-PV Charging (150V)
3 x EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3s provide 12kW of AC output, up 36kWh of storage (with 4 x Extra Batteries) and 5200W Dual-PV Charging (150V)
How Long Is the Battery Cycle Life of EcoFlow Delta Pro 3?
Cycle life is a more accurate measure of battery longevity than calendar time. A “cycle” is one full discharge and recharge of a battery. EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 has an exceptionally long cycle life of 4000 Cycles to +/-80% Capacity — roughly equivalent to 11+ years of regular use. The battery will continue to operate after 4000 cycles, but its storage capacity will diminish by +/- 20%.

What Are the Different Charging Methods for EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3?
EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 offers 7 unique and 18 combo rapid-charging methods to help ensure you have power at all times. Charging methods include:
AC wall charging (grid power)
EcoFlow Smart Home Panel 2
Gas generator charging, including EcoFlow Smart Generator 4000 (Dual Fuel)
Level 1 and Level 2 EV charging (standalone chargers or EV charging stations. Requires EcoFlow X-Stream Adapter)
EcoFlow Alternator Charger
DC (Cigarette lighter) vehicle charging
What is the Maximum Solar Charge Input of EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3?
EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 has two PV charging ports, one for high-voltage input (30–150V, 15A Max, 1600W Max) and one for low-voltage (11–60V, 20A Max, 1000W Max), for a total of 2600W. Up to 3 x EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3s can be chained together, doubling (5200W) or tripling (7800W) the combined PV input. Depending on PV module efficiency and other factors, achieving 2600W of output from a solar panel array during direct sunlight hours may require more than 2600W of combined rated power. Ensure that the maximum potential voltage and current output from the array do not exceed the limits that the solar charge inputs allow.
Can EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 Be Used Outdoors?
Yes, EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is suitable for sheltered outdoor use. The LFP battery pack is rated IP65 dustproof and waterproof to light-pressure spray. However, the main enclosure and other components are not waterproof (IP20 rating for touchproofing and dust resistance). It’s essential to ensure that EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is protected from the elements like rain, snow, or immersion in water. For example, if you’re using it for camping, bring it inside the tent overnight, or if it rains. It’s whisper-quiet and safe for indoor use.
What Are the Waterproof and Dustproof Capabilities of EcoFlow Delta Pro 3?
EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3’s battery pack has achieved an IP65 rating, meaning it's dust-tight and watertight against light-pressure water spray. LFP battery packs are a core component of EcoFlow’s portable power stations, and providing water and dustproof protection helps ensure safety and performance. However, the main enclosure and other components of the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 are not waterproof and provide an IP20 rating for touchproofing and dust resistance. The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 should be used in well-ventilated indoor or sheltered outdoor conditions. It’s essential to prevent water or rain from damaging the unit.
Can EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 Be Used Indoors?
Yes. Unlike conventional portable generators, EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is safe for indoor use. Any generator that burns gas, propane, or other fossil fuels produces deadly carbon monoxide (CO) — a colorless, odorless gas that can kill within minutes — and must be operated outdoors at a safe distance from doors and windows. EcoFlow’s portable power stations and solar generators, like EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3, produce no harmful emissions and are whisper-quiet, making them safe for use indoors.

How Loud is EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3?
Unlike gas generators, EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is whisper-quiet and safe for indoor use. Thanks to X-Quiet technology, EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 operates at noise levels as low as 30 decibels (dB); you’re unlikely to notice it running above other background noise in a quiet room. By contrast, portable gas generators produce 80–100dB of noise during use, the equivalent of a vacuum cleaner or a motorcycle. Not only that, but all fossil fuel generators produce deadly carbon monoxide, making them completely unsafe for indoor use.
Can I Connect Two EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3s Together?
Yes, you can connect two EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3s together using EcoFlow’s 50 amp hub. Two EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3s provide 8kW of AC output (16kW surge power). The maximum number of EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3s you can connect in parallel is two. If you need more power, EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra provides up to 21.6kW of AC output and 90kWh of LFP battery storage.

Is EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 Quiet?
Yes, EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is exceptionally quiet, making it ideal for indoor use, even in a bedroom as you sleep. With proprietary X-Quiet technology, EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 emits a peaceful hum of ~30 decibels (dB) — about the equivalent of a computer in sleep mode or soft rustling leaves. EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3’s whisper-quiet operation is just one of the benefits that set it apart from competitors.
Can Ecoflow Delta Pro 3 Be Used With an EV Charger?
Yes. EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 supports Level 1 and Level 2 EV charging but requires the EcoFlow EV X-Stream Adapter. With the EV X-Stream Adapter, you can enjoy rapid Level 2 charging (240V/2000W) for EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 instead of standard grid power L1 charging rates (120V/2000W) at L2 EV charging stations or using a Level 2 Home Charger.
Can EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 Output 120V and 240V AC Power Simultaneously?
No, it cannot. EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 can deliver split-phase 120V or 240V output, but not both at the same time. When the 120V mode is selected, EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 outputs power to the 4 standard built-in 120V/20A AC outlets and one 120V/30A RV outlet. In 240V mode, it supplies power to 1 x L14-30 split-phase outlet and 1 x 6-20R 240V outlet. When using 120V mode, the 240V outlets are turned off, and vice versa for the 120V outlets when 240V mode is engaged.
Will EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 Automatically Turn On During the Day if Connected to Solar Panels?
Yes, however, the DC power output from the connected solar panel array must meet the input requirements to activate EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3. Under extremely low-light conditions, such as very early in the day or at nightfall, the combined power output of the PV modules may be insufficient to power on the unit automatically.
