The automatic drainage function is activated when the condensate level in the bottom water reservoir reaches the pump sensor detection point. Based on testing, automatic drainage is typically triggered when the accumulated condensate volume is approximately 300–400 mL. The actual trigger volume may vary slightly due to factors such as the unit's placement angle and ambient humidity. To ensure proper operation of the automatic drainage function, please keep the air conditioner positioned as level as possible. Excessive tilting may cause uneven water distribution within the reservoir, leading to inaccurate water level detection and compromised drainage performance. In severe cases, condensate may even overflow from the edges of the reservoir.
After the air conditioner is switched off, residual condensate may still be present in the bottom water reservoir, which is the primary cause of minor water spillage during handling. - After automatic or manual drainage, approximately 50–100 mL of residual condensate remains in the reservoir—this is normal. - If the automatic drainage threshold was not reached before shutdown and manual drainage was not performed, the condensate generated during operation will continue to accumulate in the reservoir, potentially leaving 100–400 mL of water. During transport, if the unit is tilted at a significant angle, residual condensate in the reservoir may flow out from the front, rear, or side edges of the tray. For long-distance transportation or storage, we recommend first draining residual water in a safe environment by opening the drain plug. Gently lift the front of the unit to direct the accumulated water toward the drain outlet and allow it to flow out, thereby emptying as much water as possible before proceeding with long-distance transport or storage. During handling, please keep the air conditioner as level as possible and avoid excessive tilting to minimise any inconvenience caused by water leakage.
No, it cannot be completely emptied. After either automatic or manual drainage, a small amount of residual condensate—approximately 50–100 mL—will remain in the reservoir. The main reasons are as follows: 1. Reservoir geometry limitations: The reservoir has a relatively shallow slope and incorporates internal baffle structures, which prevent all condensate from converging toward the pump suction inlet. As a result, some water may remain around the perimeter of the reservoir. 2. Pump suction positioning: The pump suction inlet is not located at the lowest point of the reservoir. The lowest point, where the drain plug is situated, will still retain some condensate that cannot be evacuated by the pump. Therefore, it is normal for a small quantity of residual water to remain in the reservoir after automatic or manual drainage. When disconnecting the drain hose, please prepare a towel or container to catch any residual water that may spill out, so as to avoid wetting the surrounding area.
