During the disater in 2021, we were woefully unprepared and lost our food in the freezer and fridge, and my husband's sleep apnoea machine wouldn't work. We immediately started saving and purchased a Delta 1300 and 2x 110W portable panels. With that, we expected to be able to run the freezer, and charge phones and the breathing machine. Fast forward 18 months, and we now have a Pro and 4x 400W rigid panels to power the house and another 400W fixed panel to charge the 1300. We have added a petrol generator as well, just in case we can't get enough solar, but are far less worried about the future. Now we are prepared. It all started last summer when we had a power outage for about 8 hours and our refrigerator food was in danger of spoiling. I started looking for a Delta mini to power it for a few hours and almost purchased through Costco. I was watching this sale and decided to tune into the EcoFlow livestream that Joice and AJ were hosting. I was one of the names called for one of the prizes and it made my Christmas one to remember! I now don’t have to worry about not having power, and our area is known to have many power outages. We also frequently have load-shedding events to earn gift cards and swag through OhmConnect. I promote Ecoflow everywhere I go by using TVs, a small cooler, fan batteries, cooling, etc. I have one with me all the time and have people ask about them—camping, football games, walking my dogs, grocery stores, putting things away, or just out and about.
