Is STREAM Series waterproof and dustproof?

Yes, a temperature rise during use is normal and does not affect the product’s lifespan. The unit has passed rigorous testing and includes overheat protection. For best performance, install it out of direct sunlight with at least 3 cm clearance from walls or objects, and away from flammable materials.

Is it normal for the product to heat up during use?

To access the full functionality of the STREAM Series, a connection to Wi-Fi and the EcoFlow app is required. Bluetooth or LAN-only connections will not support features like remote control or historical data tracking.

Does the STREAM Series need to be connected to Wi-Fi and the EcoFlow app?

All devices must be connected to the same network and added to the same “Space” within the EcoFlow app.

What is required to enable energy balancing between multiple STREAM Series units?

1. The STREAM Series is an all-in-one system combining a microinverter and battery. PowerStream, on the other hand, is a microinverter that requires a separate purchase of a Portable Power Station to store excess solar energy or to supplement power.
2. STREAM Series supports up to 2000W solar input and 1200W inverter output. PowerStream supports only 800W for both solar input and inverter output.
3. STREAM Series offers greater scalability—up to 6 units can be connected, with both wired and wireless energy balancing. PowerStream supports only one Portable Power Station.
4. STREAM Series supports a bypass output of up to 2300W, which can be powered entirely by solar energy—enough to run a large appliance like a washing machine using just solar power.
5. The STREAM system integrates with more EcoFlow ecosystem products and features an upgraded AI-powered app with smart modes like AI TOU scheduling and solar generation forecasting.

What’s the difference between the EcoFlow STREAM Series and EcoFlow PowerStream?

The system prioritizes solar energy. When solar generation falls short of the power demand, the battery automatically steps in to make up the difference. If there’s still a shortfall, the grid supplies the remaining power.
When solar output exceeds consumption, the excess energy is first stored in the battery. Any additional surplus can be exported to the grid, depending on your settings and in compliance with local regulations.
